SETTING

The setting of The World of Gods takes place in a custom location inspired by Yggdrasil, of Norse mythology.  The reality in this setting is anchored around a single great "tree" named "Alswer" who's multidimensional roots are ingrained throughout all realms,  giving them life and form out of nothingness.  

The tree itself is semi-sentient,  or more sentient than we could possibly imagine,  however by all observation Alswer's perception is stretched thin both along space and along time.  Any motives and plans it has itself take form over generations,  centuries, a millennium or even eons.  The extent to which Alswer influences reality is indistinct,  but it is well known that it's influence does exist.  The foremost indication of it's influence is the creation of the divine.   

These divine beings are regarded as being forces of change brought up by the tree to make up for it's disability to precisely perceive events within it's influence.  Being aware of living beings within,  it does what it can to sustain them.
